Strength in numbers ...

I don't really care who wins, as long as it's a good race.

My personal favorite would probably be the #63 Lamborghini -- as a result that car probably won't feature at all.

I can't wait for this!

One of the best series in the world on a legendary circuit in one of the famous events.

My fingers are crossed that the weather is kind!

So stupid, they’re literally up against the wall on the exit of the final corner because they aren’t enforcing track limits.

They're only enforcing track limits in certain corners due to lack of staff.

Engel on pole, great lap on a drying track. Should be a good race. Thanks for the update Akrapovic, understand the situation now. Still not great when every car, every corner is off the track but at least it’s understandable.

Agreed. It looks ridiculous...but I guess if they all do it, and it's understood and there's a valid reason then it's fine. Looking forward to tomorrow.

I think when the series has its own drivers making jokes and criticising it on social media then you know you’ve gone too far, still next year onwards it hopefully won’t be an issue.

lucky the event is being held at all, to be honest. if track limits is your greatest issue about this race going on in the worst hit part of belgium, nay, europe... well. enough said.

well... you know, guess respecting track limits it's maybe one of first things that makes the difference between an amateur race and a world class event
imagine this weekend at portimao f1 race if all cars would go wide out on first two corners lap after lap....

anyway, apparently nobody liked this insanity, infact for the race everything should be back on normal

Is there some other reasons for the lack of staff besides because the pandemic?

Hasn't been this big issue in any other events held there this autumn?

Makes you wonder what else is understaffed and why is the event then being held at all.

Machine translation is a bit ambiguous. Vanthoor or somebody tweeted or IG'd that it will be talked in a meeting before the race.

Quote:
Since the beginning of the Total 24 Hours of Spa meeting, drivers can cheerfully go beyond the limits of the track, with the exception of the Raidillon, which is not without making people talk in the paddock and on social networks. There was a near-catastrophe last night with an idling Audi and a Lamborghini going off the track that almost harpooned the Audi at high speed.

It looks like we're heading for a step backwards, back to the rules that were in place last year with track boundary control all over the circuit.

Low 50s F temperature; grey, sorry, gray skies but no rain until Sunday morning.

But this is Spa. Forecasts are next to useless. And what the weather is outside your pitbox does not mean that it's the same outside the next pitbox, let alone at the other side of the circuit.

Possible delayed start. Horrendous accident in the Super Trofeo race has caused a massive amount of barrier and fence damage. Not sure everyone is ok either.

4th lap.
Already at least 3 punctures (55, 488, 21), and 1 more car in the pits (77)
Already full course yellow

"quick full course yellow" but still that f****** safety car?

What do we get when we get a non-quick yellow?
Will it do an extra lap, or drive extra slow?

Damn it, stupid SC. That nonsense has already begun.
