WoodyTJ should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
as recommended by BBC TV.....

I e-mailed the BBC last week about the poor TV Coverage.

"Why is there not more BTCC Sport Coverage on the TV. For example....
last Sunday you showed the BTCC races (from brands) in a one hour slot. Hardly nothing was mentioned about the Production Sprint race, which in my opinion was the BEST race of the afternoon!"

I have just received a reply and I thought it might interest a few of you ...........

"Thank you for your e-mail.

I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the amount of coverage given to the British Touring Car Championship. There are a huge amount of sports in the UK, and it is simply not possible to cover all of them to the extent we would like. Every sport has a loyal following who would like to see more of it on television.

I have found a website on the event, which I thought you might be interested in.

http://www.redshoes-racing.com/

Although this website is in no way affiliated to the BBC, and we cannot be held accountable for its content, I have had a look at the site and it is quite extensive.

I can assure you that I have personally registered your comments and made them available to senior management and our Scheduling Department.

Viewer feedback is an essential part of the decision making process we undertake, and I would therefore like to thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us".

It is nice to see that another one of our members is recognised for their hard work. First the Times now the BBC who next Redshoes? Congratulations!

Woody

Who's next ?

I'm sure we can swing a mention on Radio TOCA, after all I think Alan owes me a favour or two. [note to Alan, this is where you post your first message. No point in registering otherwise ]

How about on the side of a tourer ? Suggested it to a team at the media day but they didn't take the hint. Watch this space....

I'll take a permanment marker pen to the next meet and write REDSHOES-RACING.COM on the side of a car.

What car would you like it on, and can you get me a pit pass please

Redshoes, your site is great, but it can hardly replace the TV as the BBC are trying to miss the point.

You are right they did miss the point. If the next round is as badly covered I will enclose the link to the BBC so hopefully more people will complain!

But it was nice to see that I got a peronal response from the BBC (I know other people also e-mailed and they got different responses) and also that one of ten-tenths members got mentioned!

A little good did come out of it!

Redshoes, why don't you ask John B&Q if he can stick a Redshoes-racing.com sticker on his car?

Or is it more complicated than that?

Err...cause BMP have just spent many Quid's on building toca-tour.co.uk... A fairly good reason if ever there was one.

TOCA's site is so rubbish - it's basically the old one without the purple. All the links are underlined - they don't need to be. It looks so disorgainised. The designer of that site needs shot!

It would go perfect with the livery of the rest of his car.
