Who’s next for an announcement then? Senna Proctor was teasing news earlier this week with regards to a BTCC deal. TPC Audi? A return to PMR? Motorbase? |

The qty of ?s varies, and it's still not clear why. Is it some sort of scale? PMR's 2nd entry has 4 AmD's Civics both have 5 HARD's 4th car has 6 Motorbases 3 cars all have 6 Excelr8's entries both have 7 WSR's 3rd entry has 8 Is HARD's entry more certain that WSR's? Is it more likely that AmD will run both cars than Motorbase running any? Jelley has 2 Turkington has 3 Butcher has 3 Cook has 5 Does that mean Jelley is more likely than Turkington? Is Butcher closer to a deal than Cook? ??? What have some women got to do with it? ??? |

Which in 18 was not the same as WSR but was the same in 19. My guess is a Team Hard value deal will mop up old obsolete 18 units which presumably also means it wont get screwed by any WSR BOP changes thru 20

True, I hadn't considered the possibility of taking WSR-exempt engines to avoid BOP.

A couple of examples:
Exceler8 entering Hyundais - black on your list. Ingram driving the Speedworks Corolla in 2020 - red on your list. |

Tingram made it super clear on TTT and that he will carry on and there are some articles "It puts us in a really good position for 2020 with the knowledge that we’ve found." https://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-a...nsters-sponsor |

Under BTCCs regs, any competitor is not allowed to race (or test) any circuit prior to it's BTCC round. That restriction applies to both driver and team, but as with almost everything in the BTCC rulebook, it can be waived at the discretion of the series director (Gow). Would Gow allow Jake Hill to race a Lotus Elan at Silverstone Classic? Absolutely; there's nothing he is going to learn there that would have any benefit in BTCC. Would Gow allow Team Dynamics to run an old shape Civic in TCT? Yes, it was an old spec car, running GPRM parts, so no benefit to the team from gaining extra data. Would Gow allow Team Hard to run their spare CC in TCT? umm.... maybe? Should any other team buy a spare Civic/CC/BMW/Infiniti and want to run it elsewhere, then they aren't BTCC entrants and the BTCC rules don't apply to them. |

Yes they can (unless a post season rule change has been implemented that I've missed OR I can't understand the rules!). Just not a particular example - e.g. Aidan Moffat could not take a chassis he runs in BTCC and run it in TCT. He could however take a sister car that isn't being run in BTCC and run it in TCT.

How is Ingram's status any different to Plato, Oliphant or Morgan who have all posted publicly about their 2020 plans with their respective teams? |

they weren't on TTT to leave no doubts and no articles on them either
but they have no question mark, they are pretty much 99 % certain |

"For the avoidance of doubt any testing or competing by any registered driver, team or entrant of any kind whatsoever and regardless of the type of vehicle cannot be undertaken at a venue using a circuit configuration which largely consists of that which is used at a Meeting of the 2019 Championship until after that Meeting, unless with the specific written authorisation of the Administrator" In your example, Aiden Moffat would be forbidden from competing either way. The choice of car would be irrelevant. As said earlier, in practice it's almost unheard of for Gow not to approve a request to race elsewhere, although the situation of running a current-ish spec NGTC car might not be so clear cut. |

As Boardley owns the car, I would assume he is paying for the engines as well, not HARD.

but on the other hand WSR probably won't give out the latest equipment to customers or demand too much $$$
Jelley had the same engine as WSR simply because WSR didn't do any developments at all as they were busy with the actual car the new 3 series but if they did engine development over the winter customers will probably have to use the same as they used this year of course Boardley could simply use the TOCA unit instead |

You'd think the TOCA engine would be the most likely option considering HARD are running the car for him
