Wish they'd screw up a stop for the #48.

JPM once again fell from the top 10 to 15th after pit stops. Ganassi needs to improve on this. It takes him the entire run to make up the ground he loses during the cycle of pit stops.

Second caution out.
EDIT - I'm guessing it's another one for debris. |

Is that Ganassi's fault or has Montoya not quite got the hang of the pitstop lark?
It is annoying all the same! |

The rookie Montoya goes all the way to the top of the track immediately after the restart, flies past the veteran Mark Martin! JPM's march continues, JPm up to 11th, 10th, make that 9th now.
Edit: Knowlesy, well, JPm gained 3 spots during the last pit stop. Hopefully the previous 2 stops were aberrations! |

Montoya likes Atlanta, and I wouldn't be the least surprised if he notches up his first top-10 finish today.
(Hopefully I didn't jinx him now.) |

see now TVU is free but unreliable - Sentanta I'd pay for but you have to also but a pile of channels I cant give a toss about and at £30+ a month I'm not up for it. I'll stick with my current sky package - no sports, no films. I miss A1GP and erm NASCAR but thats it.

*IF* he scores a decent result today (yeah, yeah, I know there's like a million laps to go...) it should put him in a good position going into Bristol, where it's gonna be just that little bit more equal, given everyone is gonna be in a new, unfamiliar, car...

JPM may get more than just a top 10 today. His laptimes are as good as anyone right now.
Note: JPM up to 8th now, passing his teammate. |
