Set up info for rotary italsystem engine required

We have currently got one of these new 62 hp engines, and would like to hear from anyone else running this new machine! any tips or ideas on mods required would be of great assistance....

Also, if anyone may know where the set up data for this engine may be, as the factory supplied nothing!!

cheers...

I am really interested in one.

Have you run it yet? If so whats it like to drive. 62hp! Wow. Whats the power delivery like? What chassis do you have? What tyres are on it? Are you going to race it?

I saw an engine at the kart show in Telford. I could'nt believe something so small could produce that sort of power. Is it expensive?

well its running! I have a video of it!! it is running a swiss hutless chassis, with YGA tyres right now, the power delivery seems very linear, as you would expect from a rotary....but the carby has zero data, and seems a bit small, same as the exhaust.... on first inspection, it looks to be witholding about 20 hp in intake and exhaust, as the exhaust seems to get waaaaay too hot! and is press bent at the port! so a larger mandrel bend might be needed.

what we are looking for is any type of data from other people running this new engine! as the factory seems to have nothing at all!!

right now it revs to 10,000 an is pulling 160kph on a shortish 200m straight...

and it will be used as a hire kart.... I kid you not!

I hope someone out there has some data to share!!

Great, now maybe we can solve this no information problem I have been in contact with the engine designer as I had recently been told about this engine and wanted to add it to our list (www.kartfinder.com/engines.htm) The thread caught my eye and I wondered if you were talking about the same engine.

The designer is Paul A. Woelfle and you can contact him directly off his website under "Contact" or at info@nova-racing.com

I asked him about the horsepower and he told me it is a minimum of 42 HP.

Hope that helps.

What's the engine sound like????

To put it bluntly it sounds like 12A bridgeport gone troppo

worth buying just for the sound alone!

I will contact Paul, and see what he has to say!

thanks .....
