I reckon James is gonna run off and hide. Should be interesting to see who finishes second out of Chad and Ryan.

Josh Grant won a wild season opener after favorites Chad Reed and James Stewart crashed into each other on lap 6. Reed managed to restart his Suzuki, Stewart struggled to restart his Yamaha and was struck again, this time by the Honda of Kevin Windham...
Honda's Andrew Short finished 2nd & Reed managed to climb back through the 20-rider field to finish 3rd... |

James Stewart just won round 2 in a thriller over Chad Reed at Phoenix - 0.5 of a second seperated them at the line...

Saw the 03/09 Anaheim race at the gym, still not certain how the second bike managed to collide with Stewart, but the marshals were doing some fairly frantic flag waving afterwards.

This has the makings of a great season! Stewart on a new bike, Reed with the no1 plate and Ryan Villipoto has moved up.
The Reed/Stewart crash was nasty. Stewart looked very dazed, hence him going in front of Windham. |

Stewart crashed out in the first round, whilst, IIRC, Chad got third. It means Stewart has been slowly pulling back a large disadvantage (so slowly because Chad is finishing second all the time).

Well, it is not like domination is unusual in this series is it? I enjoy watching it just for seeing the bikes on the courses.
Close racing for the lead is always a better deal, of course, but I can't say I expect it out of this particular series. |

Well, Chad wins again as Stewart has a complete nightmare of a first corner (not that Chad had a particularly brilliant start himself!). Still, both put in excellent recovery rides.
I guess we're going see Stewart win, with Chad second, for like the next four races. Then Chad will win due to Stewart making a mess of things (but Stewart will produce another sterling recovery to limit the damage). This may well be going to Vegas again, it seems. |

Stewart got hosed in that race! He was so knackered from the first corner fall, that he tried to get on another rider's bike!
