Upside Down Bug should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Don't tempt me Phil!!!!

Croft will always run in the snow. Several years ago at one of the traditional meetings we awoke to several inches of snow and the sound of a land rover pulling a log round. And don't forget the winter round last year in the snow!!

Sadly, I can't make it up there, I'll be marshalling at a sprint at North Weald that day.

Good luck one and all, and don't forget to post the results on here.

Yokohama - Croft March 6th

Just to let you know that Ronnie Thom of Wheels Around (www.wheelsaround.com) will be at Croft on March 6th to provide a tyre service on behalf of competitors who use Yokohamas. Personally, I think this will be ideal as I won't have to make provision for tyres (two hour round trip) before meetings! Ronnie can be contacted on 01764 662897 or 07711577148.

I've just read in the local paper that Bellerby is not bringing his new car out as it is not quite finished yet. However he is going to be driving the mk2 escort rally car that he drove at the Jack Frost Rally, which could be interesting, considering what a good result he had at the rally.
See you there!

D&DMC Croft Winter Rallycross

All

Just to let you know that the rallycross event due to take place at Croft this sunday has had to be cancelled.

unfortunately due to the bad weather over the past few weeks and the fact that the loose sections are under water and 3 inches of snow the DDMC have had to cancel the event.

The ddmc hope to re-schedule the event sometime soon.

Where's this information from Nitty? Is there a website link that you can direct people to please?

Folks, if you're going to make an announcement like this, can you please provide the source of the information. Or if you're an official representative of the organisers, can you identify yourselves to the moderators and users as such. Ta.

Anybody on here spoke to terry from the DDMC to confirm this?

I spoke to terry's other half earlier regarding something else and she mentioned the cancellation, but didn't comment any further.

Only a guess bucko but it could be a typo.
If you click on the Two Championships one Calender link above that one it shows Croft as 6th March.

Sad news
The event has been cancelled due to the weather, snow, water and the circuit has turned to mush, if we were to run it it would destroy the loose surface and that I think would be the end of rallycross at Croft.

What happened to rallycross being a all year round sport ?
Surely when a loose section is built it should be taken into consideration for conditions
like we are getting at the moment and in the north this happens often ?
Iam not knocking croft or terry and his team which run excellent meetings ,this is just a point of view which should be taken as constructive criticsm!

Chris,

An example to quote would be the BTRDA round at Pembry last year. I know Wales is suposed to be wet but it never stopped raining all day. The rough cut up pretty bad.

It would be interesting to see how long and how much £ it cost to put the rough back in shape after the relitively low powered clubmans cars had a day at it.

Phil.
