Maybe the administrators could track down an adress for PETE via the friend who posted here and send them a card or Flowers on our behalf.

Email Me - I'll contribute to it.

Very sad news. Pete & myself have had our little disagreements over my time here on ten-tenths, but we always worked them out. My sincere condolences to Pete's family.

Wow.

You could always count on Pete for a sensible response - even if you didn't agree with what he may have said, you could count on the fact that he had put a decent amount of thought into it, and they were always worth reading.

RIP mate

My condolences to all who knew Pete, it's worth remembering that work related accidents take many lives and we should never take anything for granted when we go to work each day. Also never miss the opportunity to tell people you care about how you feel.

well, i'm sure he is up there now telling it the way he sees it to the best and i'm sure agree or disagree those greats of Motorsport will respect his passion and opinion of the great sport.

posting lists in the driver movements thread will not be the same as it used to be as pete's would always be the first post (i come to expect it) "still way off" or something along those lines, and it saddens me now that there will never be a day where i do get to get it right and then see his post straight after the list saying " finally got it right, only took 70 pages".

Really don't know what to say. It's surprising how shocking it is to hear such very sad news about someone I never did and probably never would meet. From posting on here, I know one part of his life and that will be sadly missed by us all. I can only offer my condolences to his family and friends and hope that they are able to witness the genuine affection of the contributors to this thread.

RIP, Pete55.

I have only been here a short time, and like most, did not know you, other than reading your comments. You were [like the rest of us] passionate about motorsport, and I always enjoyed reading your posts. Condolences to your family and friends.
The stands up there must be getting crowded, but it surely would be a quality starting grid.

Very sad news indeed.

As most of us here, I have enjoyed Pete's input and appreciated his sensible responses to questions I've posted. It's interesting how "close" you can feel to someone you've never actually met - and how much you can value their input - even though we didn't always agree.

10-Tenths will be a lesser forum for the loss.

Sincere condolences to family and friends.

RIP Pete55
