Congrats to Lewis, looks like he's got rid of the jinx.
Another last lap dash by Norris to get 5th. |

I didn't know those tables/stands the drivers have were remote controlled.

One thing is clear: Albon can't keep up and can't support Max in the fight against the Mercedes cars

People need to not stand in pitlane at the end of the race. There's no steering range on an F1 car at low speed and a bunch of morons were standing at the angle he needed to get in square. My first thought was the same as yours and did he drift in but he tried to move over but couldn't get over to the wall and came in steep.

And AT is not going to be able to just get the 21 car. Hell the work Racing Point had to do to show they built from pictures and observation the 2020 car to the FIA took multiple trips. Can give them the allowed parts list as Haas and Alfa Romeo have done but that's it. And with the 2 drivers they have it's not going to be close. But closer than Ferrari's satellites by a wide margin. |

The wording of their objection makes me laugh too....I mean, most teams copy others ideas at some point |

The problem is that Tracing Point are quick and that just isn't fair on the multi-billion pound manufacturers.

Yeah, the FIA should tell the stewards that Renault can shut their face. They could see year's cars and could take out their pencils as well. Just because Racing Point is ok with using large amount of "inspiration" from last year's car doesn't mean Renault can protest. I've read multiple articles all calling it tacky and bordering on unsporting but clearly not against the regs. Every team has borrowed from others, Racing Point is just borrowing a lot from last year. And the FIA was brought in early and signed off on everything. And apparently they took things from Racing Point and Mercedes in their research, but signed off everything was kosher.
Ferrari should have borrowed heavily from last year's Ferrari, might have helped. Renault should have borrowed from everyone's cooling systems. Then maybe Ocon could have actually finished the race. And Ricciardo last week. |

Brake ducts seized from the Racing Point cars this evening and protest accepted.
https://racer.com/2020/07/12/renault...cts-impounded/ And Mercedes has been required to produce last season's front and rear brake ducts as used on the car for the FIA. |

It would not be F1 without all the protest
