I pray it never happens but one day theres going to be an horrendous accident with all these people on cool down laps. Verstappen did a laptime of 3:01 on one lap, its ridiculous.

They narrowly avoided one yesterday. Verstappen was slow through the esses and his engineer didn't warn him about Leclerc. He said Leclerc was on a slow lap, so wasn't paying attention to him - but Leclerc had sped up.

Buttttt. Do we really need more rules, about driving at minimum speeds etc?

I see they backed off.

If you were new to the sport and someone had to explain to you why ham and bottas backed off there...silly!

Also, Merc never covers their opposition. Why Bottas didnt opt to make a play with the hards? He is not going to beat Ham with the same strategy imo.

I think you explain that they start on the tyres they set the time on and they preferred the other tyre. You can supplement that by explaining that they wanted a practice for the next go.

What a session, Bottas takes pole, he will be eager for revenge for last weekend. But Hulk P3, wouldn’t it be great if that was translated into the same result tomorrow? And what about Gasly? He’s been on fire this season

Glad Russell got into Q2, doesn’t look like he’s going to get a penalty this time. Vettel really has gone off the boil hasn’t he?

Just trying to clarify, did hulk set his fastest q2 lap on soft? If so he could struggle early in the race? Potential 3 stop race and try to use the speed of that car?

Yes, a three place grid penalty. He now starts the race from 14th.

He wasn't doing much when the rumour started either.

Vettel potentially signing for RP has very little to do with current form, and more the idea of having a World Champion tutoring Lance and the marketing that goes with it. That's about it.
