I don't see it being completed either! It doesn't look like it should take that long, but more often than not, they take even longer. I guess we'll see when the big races rock around...

See, if this was an Olympic site or a football ground, you'd get something on it every night on the TV.

One of the problems is that they will start it in winter, which means the wettest time of the year, they don't need rain delays.

For a quick fix they should put together hollow steel pipe, and some sheets of corrugated iron for the roof....

unlike the just-torn-down Bathurst pits, these don't allow much access/viewing for the fans to see whats happening in the garages.

These tents were bigger than those used at Wakefield... and were compartmentalised for specific teams, rather than having groups in a common area.

The trucks were also able to park out the back of these as well, just like Wakefield... which is a major improvement over last year at the AGP.

Interestingly, most teams loaded their cars into the transporters and locked them up overnight also.

I don't blame them for locking up @ night. I wonder if this will change @ some events I.E. tents for V8's, this is a bit silly really.
What did they have last year at AGP?

Same kind of tents, but they were squashed in with Carrera Cup and Nations Cup as well. This time there was demonstrably more room.

A clash in broadcaster didnt help, nor the poor relationship between AVESCO and PROCAR... although they seem happy enough to play together at Adelaide. Presumably PROCAR wanted too much money to appear, or that is the line that will be spun anyway

F3 should also have been on the card, alongside FF, perhaps replacing historic touring cars. As much as I like seeing the older cars go round, the F3 cars are where the future of the sport is, and if the drivers in these cars are to be recognised perhaps for a future European adventure, it makes sense to have them there.

No TV probably didn't help NC either, especially after getting no mention at all last year

Latest talk around town is council has been quoted $2mil for pit tents as per AGP.No way will the new pits be ready for October.Still no contractor for new complex.

Crickey! If a set of tents cost $2mil, I'll have to gnaw on my hat! I could go down to Supercheap and buy them 300 of those temporary car ports for a few grand...

Really, what's the difference between temporary shed and a proper pit building? The corporate types get to have a nice place in the A/C? Pfftt... Didn't they knock up the last pit building in reasonably quick time?
