It ain't that far away now! Love it or hate it it is the big one of the summer in the UK.

Today potential entrants for the "Piper Heidsieck International Trophy in association with Chopard" or Gentleman Drivers for short race on Saturday eve are being advised if they are in or not, and we are!

Early bird car club 3 day tickets and camping long since booked
Love Friday, wandering around both sets of garages and paddocks before the big crowds turn up at the weekend.

Hoping for a decent grid for the F5000 v F2s

It will appear on the HSCC website - they're normally very good at publishing in good time. Probably after this coming weekend's Brands Hatch event.

Brands please stop posting links to the entries - you're just putting temptation in my way! Not keen on Silverstone from a spectating / photo point of view but this looks tempting, very tempting.....

All the grids have seen so far are going to be spectacular! Understand your viewpoint Gary, whenever I try and watch someone else's race am usually frustrated trying to find a good place to do so. Usually finish up on the pitwall!

Will be there from Wednesday lunchtime in the 'International' (new) paddock, so if you make the trip come and find the truck. The fridge and cool box will be well stocked. 5 days for one 60 minute race doesn't sound clever but with friends doing other races and lots to look at away from racing the time always flies. Just hope this weather holds!

we don't have one either, but I do know the final race on Saturday (group c) doesn't start until 20.30hrs. So even without delays, it's a late finish.

I look forward to buying a programme, no doubt it will be the usual work of fiction
Poor Ian Titchmarsh will struggle finding out who is driving what and get pretty cross as always!
