There needs to be incentive to run them.

They haven't really been that competitive outside of TCR Germany, and even then, it was only HP International that could get speed out of them.

Opel doesn't do F1, WRC, WRX, GT3, GT4, or DTM, and will leave TCR. Pathetic.

Opel's involvement in TCR is the same as it's been for the past few years. Lubner has just taken over as the approved TCR constructor from Kissling. Nothing more.

Wow this will be really cool

I was hoping for TCR endurance racing in SPA, like the old classic with touring cars

Very good idea. Hopefully it'll get a packed entry with some big names.

Very cool indeed, I hope the manufacturers pick up on this and all support some teams like they do in GT3.

The date might be a bit iffy, with many TCR series still underway or just finished at that point of the year.

Only 24h TCES, Baltic, Germany, Iberico, Italy, Russia, UK, Touring Car Trophy and WTCR don't have a race that weekend or the following weekend (with DSG Endurance and STCC clashing) but I reckon there could easily 40-50 cars based on the number of European championships they're targeting.

That'd be a real tempter for an autumn trip to Spa, it's such a good circuit for spectating, even if October sounds dodgy for the weather

That surely has to be one of the most pathetic race meetings ever held.

The Porsche races had 16 cars, which is reasonable, but the Gulf Sportscars only had 5. What was the point?

Yeah. It was really bad. It took 4 hours for the first retirement but only another 30 minutes for the second. That meant the final 90 minutes had only 2 cars in 2 completely different classes.
I kept checking the entry list and at one point they had 8 TCR cars with a similar number of other cars for the endurance race.
Currently there are 5 and 4 TCR cars entered for the final 2 rounds. I won't hold my breath.

Teamwork, no idea I guess the car is back in Asia
Second Zengo Cupra will be present at round 2
Wolf Power and J W Bird no idea, but I guess that Wolf Power is on victory break
Team Dynamics crashed their Audi pretty good if I remember correctly

Teamwork have advertised that the Audi was available for TCR ME Round 2 & 3, so the car is probably still in Dubai.
JW Bird are (currently) entered for Round 2, so i guess their car is also still in Dubai.
The cars of Wolf Power and Dynamics are probably on the way back to Europe.

5 TCR cars are entered in Abu Dhabi this weekend, with 2 additional cars for the 4 hour endurance.

Rene Munnich took pole in TCR qualifying by 2.3 seconds, while 5th was 6 seconds behind.
