what if senna and schumi were teammates???

here's another "what if": what if senna and schumacher were teammates, let's say in '95-'96 in inferior ferrari's...

I suspect they'd spend a lot of time attempting to run each other off the road -- the dangers of having two "win at any cost" drivers in one team.

Yep, they'd have killed each other years ago. Either on the track or in the paddock.

I think Senna would have come out on top , for the simple reason that Michael has always had lesser team mates to overshadow , where as Senna had world class team mates and he still managed to get the team running around him .

I dont think TGF would have known what hit him , but in saying that , im sure TGF would have gave as good as he got , but i think Senna would have came out on top in the end.

Michael Schumacher: An admittedly above-average driver, but who's team has always made him look better
than he is.

Aryton Senna: A legendary driver often hampered by inferior equipment and world-class teammates, and who's career was cut tragically short.

Senna would have beaten M$ regularly, to be sure, but I still think the battle of egos would have been the end of both of them.

freud has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Schumacher doesnt have either the 'skill' or the 'spirit' of Senna. He may have collected points on Senna's mistakes but I just dont see Schumacher out-qualifying or out-pacing Senna.

Interesting to read that Herbert has said that Schumacher has needed help to win at least three of his titles, making them flawed successes and that you never saw Senna or Prost needing anything like that.

Senna. Unlike TGF, he didn't need team orders to win. He would beat TGF on speed and skill alone and would not need to be surrounded by yes-man who would do anything he ask - like fix races

However, Senna and TGF wouldn't finish too many races as they were trying to take each other all the time!!!

senna would never have allowed TGF on a team with him. Just like the pale imitation of him that we are saddled with now, Senna had veto power on "his" team and would have probably driven with Ricardo Rosset.

I wonder if he would have popped TGF up his frogged tunic though like he did to Eddie, for not showing him respect?

i have read somewhere, and i dont know if it is true, that back in 92 there were rumours of senna going to benetton in 93.
i read that TFG well and truly spat the dummy when he heard the rumours

You don't blame him do you? No driver would really want his teamleader status challenged? With hindsight, it's a shame it never happened though.

Hey, yet another lesson TGF learned from Senna? Become the kind of driver that nobody wants for a teammate?

Hmmm.

Berger and Senna were great teammates, and if you ask Berger i'm sure he would say he wanted to be Senna's teammate
