When NASCAR raced at COTA earlier this year track limits were only enforced through the esses at the top of the hill. A single infraction resulted in a drive through penalty - perhaps the harshest penalty for track limits in all of motorsport.
All other parts of the track including turn 19 as pictured above were a free for all. |
