Michael throwing away a 30 second lead at Spa by running into the back of DC (thankfully nobody was hurt)

the look on Michaels face when he was on the wall watching JV circulating after "that incident" at Jerez in '97

DC spinning it on the installation lap at Monza in '95

Wasn't it a Benneton that took off down the pit lane after a stop taking the rear jack with it, the driver unawares whilst everyone stared at it going by?

A bit more recent, Irvine's Ferrari sitting there with 3 tires on and the mechanics standing there sort of just looking at each other (and my thinking they were counting silently the number of seconds they had been told to count to before getting the fourth one.

My head isn't working today, so I can't remember all the details, (a bit too much ) but here goes:

Alain Prost spinning off on the parade lap in the wet in the Ferrari (I think it was Silverstone).

The David Coulthard Adelaide '95 incident..

And my personal favourite, Gerhard Berger in the 1993 Ferrari, came straight out of the pits and into the wall on cold tyres..

the 2 stewarts catching fire on the grid in Australia in 99, the 2 Arrows cars stauling on the grid in Australia in 2002 and I thought Jos Verstappen in the Arrows Hart overtaking DC in the Mclaren Mercedes(argentina 96) was pretty funny

Hakkinen driving out of the garage (Australia '99) and pulling down McLaren's expensive-looking gantry. Did it nearly take out Ron Dennis???

Wurz crashing in the Monaco tunnel (as I said in the other thread).

Fittipaldi deciding to finish a race in style by hitting his team mate and then looping the loop (Italy '93).

Rosset trying to spin his car and getting stuck between two barriers in Monaco '98.

MURRAY: "A lot of people are debating whether Ricardo Rosset is Formula One material".
MARTIN: "Well it's a pretty short debate, Murray".

Coulthard's assorted pitlane/warm-up lap mishaps (Italy, Europe, Australia '95).

Michael Schumacher stalling his Ferrari and taking a BMW C1 to get back to the pit.

4 drivers stalling on the grid (including the Jordans) just after Launch Control was introduced.

Coulthard (no matter WHAT he does)

don't quite see what was funny with that one, his suspension failed in the middle of that very fast corner and I recall the look of silent concern on the faces of Phil Hill and others watching the race from an appartment nearby (watching the tube). The only remotely thing funny was, if I recall correctly, Wurz still trying to turn the steering wheel as he approached the final barrier, but without any front wheels, but given the speed of the initial impact, it wasn't funny at the time.

Mansell beating Piquet at Brand Hatch whilst driving Piquets spare car ! Piquet was not a happy chappie

How about Fisichella on the grid at Malaysia last year, trying to park in the wrong place?

Things like Irvine Nurburgring 1999 as well (I'll never forget Martin Brundle's commentary on that- "look don't have a committee meeting about it, just get the tyre on")

Coulthard saying he was gonna win the title this year in February, and then saying that he'd win it NEXT year in August, was pretty funny the first 4 or 5 times.

Oooooh.Great stuff guys!i'd like to add some but just can't think of any at the mo.Something to do with purging f1 from my head i guess..
The incedent with berger at estoril happened(mostly) from ferrari's terrible design of active suspension. It was programed to drop down to a certain hight at a certain speed-abit too abruptly it must be said.It did it just as the car hit a bit of a bump at the end of the pitlane-just as berger put the hammer down.Which all brings to mind some comment by patrick head about ferrari's design theories."we spent a few hours designing the software for the '92 williams & it stayed that way for(3 years?).Ferrari spend x millions and 6 months designing theirs & thats the result!'
