AnneReed should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
AMOC Silverstone - 6th April 2013

Hello

AMOC are back at Silverstone for the first meeting of the year.

There is parking for any Aston Martins in the Bakerville area (fenced off area between the restaurant and the British Racing Drivers Club). If this is full, additional parking is available – please see the map on the link below.

There will be a parade for all Aston Martins at lunchtime (12.25). Anyone who would like to go on track will need to sign on at Race Control and be ready in their cars for 12 noon. There may be a restriction on the number of cars allowed, so priority will be those who sign on first. There is no cost for this. You will need to bring your driving licence.

Tickets are £9 in advance and £10 on the day (under 15s are FREE). You can buy tickets in advance from the Silverstone web site.

Practice starts at 9am, with the first race at 11.55. The full timetable is also on the link below. Grids are looking good, with most having 25-30 confirmed.

If you are an AMOC Member there is a hospitality area in the Jimmy Brown Centre (between garages 6 & 7). Please bring your Membership cards. For anyone who would like to become a Member, the application form is available here: http://www.amoc.org/content/view/58/97/

More information is available here: http://www.amoc.org/content/view/1811/853/

And it is not just for Aston Martins.

I'll be there with Minnie the (Hillman) Minx in Julius' Touring Car race and giving the Lotus Mk IX its first outing for many years in the '50s Sports Car Race.

It'll be interesting to see how the little Lotus does amongst all the big cars.....

If only the cold wind would die down a bit.

use race 3 to look around the paddock at all the other great grids. early start for us in the intermarque, but looking forward to this. Finally got my 911 back together after an argument with the silverstone pit wall last year.

I'd be pleased to see any group photos of the cars on track to use on the AMOC Club website and/or publications, if you are interested Bauble.

Also I'm looking for someone to take podium shots if anyone's free?

Rob, bauble is not good at identifying Porsche models. Actual pics are good, but be prepared for anything!

Clerk of the Course; "Black flag number 9!"

Start Line marshal; "There isn't a number 9 in the race. Oh dear number 6 is in trouble!!"

Rob; Just stop at Brooklands and ask for me, and I'll take a picture. If you want an action snap, I can take a picture while running past the car that almost gives the impression of genuine movement.

Mr Bell! I'll get you at play time.

to be honest if anyone has a chance to take a photo of me it'd be better than last year, I crashed on the out lap of qually.

car is now back together and looks like this, for those that are unsure what a 911 looks like

Enjoyable day at Sillystone.
Good entries and racing, mostly, and the warmest I've been at a circuit this year so far...only the four layers today
