Jaguar E-type reg #256DJU?
Is it still raced?
Was raced in the '80's by Roger Mac when owned by John Lewis. |

I recall Bobby Unser driving it on a Pirelli Marathon in the early 90's- think he crashed it fairly heavily as well....? Still in John Lewis' ownership at that time I guess?
Very vague memories of reading somewhere that Roger Mac raced 'DJU' both as a 'current' car in the 60's and as a 'historic;' during Lewis' ownership- and I've got a feeling VIVA GT is right about there being a Protheroe connection- Anyone know more? |

Car was very successful in the early '80s in European Historic racing against the Ferrari GTO and factory supported Alfa team. Photos? |

If it is John Lewis's car he re-aquired it [will check], and as far as I know still owns it. Famous for the look on Warren Pearce's face when John turned up sporting a rear aerofoil on the boot.
