fatbloke should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Who is the most competent of the two Honda teams ? JAS or WSR ? WSR just don't do it for me, i'm afraid - have they /ever/ done anything spectacular in the BTCC ?

I have wondered this myself. West Surrey used to run the Mondeos until Ford dropped them in favour of ProDrive. What does that tell you?

As for whether they have done anything spectacular in BTCC? Of course they have! they brought Nige in to it!!!!Bring back the Red 55

Nige was great - that made '98 for me along with the worthy winner and close championship, but that Donington race was just awesome - bring him back!!
In response to the actual question, I think JAS has the pace at the moment, Tarquini has produced the goods with a win and fine second, but Mouse has been out for a while and now he's back surely he'll be in contention for some serious race victories - or will he???

Well, exciting as Mansell (or, more to the point, his driving) may be, that is hardly down to WSR, is it ? I'm sorry, but they've never set the world alight in tintops - i'm sure that Rouse, Schnitzer, TWR, et al, could do 10x better job. It'll be interesting to see how JAS do against them for the remainder of the year.

Yeah,

Dick Bennetts did some great things in F3 but his tin-top record is a comparitive disaster. I never fully understood why Rouse was dropped by Ford. The results from other teams have been no better until recently.

Anyway, any team is going to struggle with that V6, they should have stuck with the four. The V6 was only good for its torque when they coonsidered the four wheel drive.

The Mondeo is a great road car though.
