I hope so, I'm unlikley to be available on the Sunday also but a Saturday only race would be just the ticket.

Why do you think race suits have names on, It certainly isn't for us marshals!

BTW, that is the date of the August Snett round?

August 2nd, Jason, so I imagine you'll be at the Rock all weekend.

I suppose the Steve Wood that Les staunchly supports is the Golf guy. We are known to each other.

Aside from the racing, there are a thousand stories to be told about Britcar folk - unusual pastimes, funny incidents, tragedy, comedy, hopes, fears, laughter, tears, and I'd love to find an outlet for all this. Features on teams, drivers, etc, even officials.

Would anybody be interested in reading this sort of stuff, and where could it be posted ?

post it here of course!

And yes 'my' Steve is the Golf guy

Jason - I know a lot of suits have the names on their belts but you try looking at a screwed up belt whilst trying not to look as if you are staring at their groins

Bsr,

Pop along to the Britcar/EERC website here : http://www.eerc.co.uk and jot down the telephone number for James Tucker, the organiser (he also posts here from time to time) and give him a call. There are some general regs posted on the website but I know he is keen to provide variety in the series and a quick call should answer your question.

Bsr, I would imagine you run your Stealth in the Combe GT series at the moment. We've got a Darrian which runs in Britcar, which to me is of a similar ilk. Like Maxx says, James Tucker is the man to talk to.

that sounds just like the marshals forum

I'm doing a 2 month stint in North America at the moment, and they do love their enduro races over here, anything from 1 1/2 to 3 hours at a club meeting.

It's more fun for us too, we actually get a chance to blue flag for real.

BSR,

Your stealth would be valid for the series but in the sister series called Britsports and the first race is at brands hatch indy on NOV 2 ND. This will consist of two 45 minute races. If you need more information call James Tucker on 01252 834377.

Regards

Britcar news from abroad !

VLN Langstrecken, Nurburgring, Sunday July 5th.

Britcar stalwarts TeamThink, in their Renault Clio, finish the 4-hour race in 106th position (110 finishers), completing 19 laps (the winner did 26).

Well done to drivers Woodcote, John Frankel, Andrew Frankel, and Meyrick Cox.

This team are always well presented, put on a good show of spirited driving, and are worthy ambassadors of the Britcar cause.
