To me the initial speed was not that impressive. However due to the fact the car was upside down and the cars being so heavy, very little speed was lost before the final impact.

Really glad that Zhou is OK.

Amazed that none of the commentary team know that a lap one red flag means a restart in original grid order, as has been the case for a very long time.

It looks too low when it's skidding through the gravel upside down. If that has happened hopefully the halo will still have protected the driver.

Edit - looks like they've just said he's out of the car so concern was unwarranted. Good news.



I used to be semi-convinced by the Halo, but knowing what we know now after many incidents, it indeed must be one of the best safety measures in motorsport.
