Talking of repairs to car's, it was interesting to note Matt Allison's car started with no rear window, I would have thought it'd have had to ?

Also, if you watch closely, at the start of the race, he drove down the grass on the way to Paddock hill bend!

Two drivers taken to hospital...

Ludicrous aggression? Well yes.. In those conditions, I can see why...
This is motorsport, remember. If drivers are going to just drive around without even trying to overtake anyone, then you may as well just watch a tape of the Hungarian GP. Jackson made a mistake yes, but what use is bashing him going to do, and making accusations?

The thing in motorsport,
everyone wants to come 1st.
At what costs,
the cost of whatever it takes to win.(within reason)

i heard a quote from a driver on the weekend.

Coming 2nd is the first of the losers

and sponsors dont like losers

Not many series have a greater spread of winners and podium places. Had for a sponsor to miss the limelight.

Obviously spoken by someone unable to get sponsorship!

Look at Matt Allison's car.. He's not winning, but look how many sponsors names have appeared on his car over this season!

I should think the Motorbase sponsors are very pleased; they've been all over the motorsport TV and press this season. Unfortuantely it is usually because either Allison, Howell or Ferrier have managed to stuff the car in a barrier somewhere

They do say that no publicity is bad publicity

All joking aside, I very much enjoyed the weekend at Brands. Happily no one was hurt in [what I consider to be] the racing incident in race 1 and races 2 and 3 provided some good close racing; especially the Jones & Tom O-C battle in race 3.

'Tis true to say that there is some element of panel bashing in BTCC but if a number of drivers are all closely matched and want the same piece of tarmac then I think it inevitable that there will be some contact. It's not new and I don't see it going away.

As many people on here have said before....if you don't like it, don't watch it.

Regards,
Rosie

i thought it was a bit of a half hearted not thinking statement.
it was one of those..

should have engaged mouth before putting brain in to gear.

Rosie (Hi)

BTCC has always had a bit of bump and grind and thats what has made it so watchable,
like you said....you dont see it going away,
if it did,BTCC would fall flat on its face (imo)

Good weekend for Fabrizio Giovanardi ... Jason Plato is still holding onto that tight points lead though. Should be an exciting finish to the championship...
