Callaway Cars is working feverishly in Germany to complete the callaway C12R in time for the opening round of the ALMS at Texas Motorspeedway. The car uses a Chevy Corvette race engine in a front engine rear-drive platform and will be campaigned by Aspen Knolls Racing.

Chris S should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
For more information on the preparations for the Texas ALMs weekend, see http://www.speedvision.com/pub/artic.../010222d.html.

As my husband had surgery last week for a torn rotator cuff, we will not be working this event this year. A friend will be racing in the SVWC-GT race, however, and I will try to get some comments from him. We are also good friends with the Flag Chief for this event, so he should be able to give me a little first hand information too.

Stop by the worker area on Sunday after the racing (just past the garages, on the inside of NASCAR T4) and ask for Jake or Charlie (Flag Chief and Asst Flag Chief). Tell them you are friends with Chris & Frank and you should be able to get a couple of Shiner Bocks out of the deal. The workers should be hanging around for at least a couple of hours after the race as the beer is free and the freebies donated by the race teams are handed out after the racing on Sunday.

Also, be cheering for the #96 Saleen Mustang (Paul Brown) and Rob Hines (don't know his number, as the car is a new one, but it is an orange Audi S4). Both of these guys race in the Speedvision World Challenge GT series. Another buddy is "Scotty Bob" White, in the Tommy Kendall-painted Corvette (black with green on the bottom paint scheme). You should be able to meet up with all of these guys in the paddock.
