bacon sandwich should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Working On a Raceday

Should this be allowed.
I couldn't do Brands last weekend at all because I couldn't get the time off - now I've put in for the next three meetings and told I can't have that leave either!!
Anybody else have this grief - and who wants to give me a job where I can have every weekend off.

i get that all the time, but thats work for you, working weekends does have its advantages at times but not always, but it usually ends up in getting 'favours' called in. mind you i dont mind doing brands hatch when im night duty, but it doesnt half make you feel a little bit jaded with lack of sleep.

BS-think of all that flag waving/writing you wont need to do and short lunch breaks, circuit sweeping. Small grids, heat exhaustion with those big, heavy overalls on, traffic at the Dartford crossing, traffic jams on the M25...why would you want to go anyway??? It can only be the friendly and interesting photgraphers that make it worth your while! PS: I had to miss Sunday afternoon racing as well cos' I had to work!!

I usually have to work on race day - however work is at Le Mans, silverstone, brands, sweetlamb, etc, etc.

Thanks for rubbing it in ss - however I can't believe you can ever really consider marshalling working!

Ah!! Being Retired does have advantages. What I wonder is how did I ever find time for work, I certainly could not find time now

Interesting holiday this year. I'm saving it all up for a month away in Feb, which means The 5 Fridays I want for marshalling depend on me working enough flexitime hours. The problem's not working on a raceday, but racing on a workday!
