No, it's not going to be a genuine Super Tourer, as Mumbo Racing have a couple of those for sale if I was after one.

It's going to be packing a similar amount of horsepower to the Super Tourers thanks to a supercharger setup we're working on, from the 2L Zetec, and we're trying to replicate the bodykit first of all. However, unsure at this stage if we'll go the full original livery, a custom paint job, or keep it street-looking.

Sorry for some reason my pics still dont seam to come up. See link anyway
No, I hadn't seen it before but will buy it, thanks!

As for all the other photos, thanks, I appreciate it alot.

I've noticed that just about every Mondeo has a different front wing setup, from year to year and competition to competition. I guess we'll have to decide which front bar will most suit our application while keeping in mind difficulty to build.

You guys have done well, it's very appreciated. A big thank you!

Regards, Tim

Sorry, I had skimmed this bit when I read the thread initially. I looked through all my photos and only found this poor quality pic of that particular colour scheme and thought it was pretty useless.

Anyway, here it is...

And they just keep coming........

1997 AMP Bathurst 1000 – Thompson/McGill/Skeene - DNF

1998 AMP Bathurst 1000 – Hills/Beninca – 6th Place

1999 Australian Super Touring Championship – Peter Hills - 5th Place

1999 Australian Super Touring Championship – Dean Canto - 7th Place

I hadn’t seen the #98 car in red before either Timmeh. That thing has had an inordinate amount of different sponsors over the years. Does anyone have a pic of it in its Caltex livery? Now that was a nice looking car

The Thompson/McGill/Skene car from Bathurst 97 - wasn't that car DSQ'd for rolling backwards down mountain straight during the race?

Here's a pic of the Adam Proctor Mondeo in Caltex colours, a design based on the 2004 SBR Caltex car (from the Touring Car Challenge page - there are other pics of it there too):

Did it twice i think from memory, once from the Cutting and once from the hump on Mountain Straight.

Who was driving when that happened? I seem to remember they lost their CAMS licence for quite a while?

I always liked the Valvoline liveried Mondeo's in the BTCC;

Kelvin Burt in the Andy Rouse Engineering 4-door in 1995

Steve Robertson in the WSR-run 5-door hatch in 1996

One was McGill, the other time Skene.

I vaguely remember a snippet in Auto Action after the 1997 race stating one had lost their licence for 3 years and the other 5 years. Not sure what happened though, McGill certainly didn't lose his licence for that long.

I also recall Jenni Thompson had to go to great lengths to make it known she wasn't one of the drivers who backed down the mountain.

Thanks for the heads-up! Unfortunately I'm already committed by She Who Must Be Obeyed to go to a wedding, and the distance from here to there would not let me attend for just a day trip. Is there a calendar the Touring Car Challenge follows that I can plan to be at an upcoming round?

Regards, Timmeh

I had a serious tyre kick of the Nissan Primera that Rod Dale has for sale... a few years ago now.. what a lovely little car.. a little dog eared, and in need of a touch up here and there.

Top value for the price.

But the wife wouldnt let me. Reckons I would spend all my time with the car and not her. Whats wrong with that I said? To which I got a slap...

Ford Mondeo Super Tourer Pics Wanted

Yeah privacy and safety should be the first priority while talking on any online platform. I like Club Racing since my childhood when I was reading about fob, remotes and the security of a house. I still feel that I can take my part in car racing.
