Its a a two year lay-off for me!

Returning to Irish Formula Vee in '07, the car is away being refurbished at the moment. It has lay idle for 3 years so the engine, gearbox and brakes are in need of a little TLC!

I will be running hopefully both my Camaros, depends how much the engine on my black later model will cost to fix and how much spare cash I have but I would like to have a go in Pre-93's (committee willing) with it as I think it may hold its own there unlike Classic Thunder and DTRC where its a bit over whelmed.

Alternately I will concerntrate on the old car and race it in Pre-74 and Group 1 as it seems to reasonably competitive there now and I just like driving it and they are a nice bunch of people to race with. :-).

Mk2 Astra split between DTRC / BARCSE Tin-tops and CTCRC pre-93, depending on calendars and cash-flow. Some DTRC rounds are too expensive for me to justify in my first year, ditto with some of the further away pre-93 races. Although Combe, Cadwell and Oulton will all be tempting.

The thought had crossed my mind of a mk2 16v astra for pre 93. I reckon a well set up one would do well.

Thats in the garage being buit up as we speak. Its not mine but my mates. Engine, box and axle installed. Just plumbing in the brakes and wiring it. Plumbing in the turbos and cooling system. The next major expense is the management.

Its coming out in class A in DTRC, and get this, the bloke has only done a couple of sprints before. I think a couple of semsec meetings to get him used to it. I may do a couple in it as well

Well, I don't know about set-up but it should be right on the weight limit without having to resort to changing panels, and the engine should be okay too; the car did well enough with it's previous owner in 8v guise, so there's only one weak link...... Next year is all about getting experience and seat time.

I think I've convinced an 8v mk2 to come out in pre-93 instead of Hot Hatch, but another 16v has opted for the production class of Eurosaloons as pre-93 could have some rapid cars in that class and that car is standard engine.

Why don't you hang on a week or two till you see the new regs for pre-93 before making any firm plans, JohnW will be posting something soon I believe.

Toyota Corolla GT, Toyo Tyres Modified Classic Thunder Production Saloons or whatever it gets called.

Still to decide on slicks or list 1B yet. Depends on where the Pug 205's get placed, and what I can do to avoid them!

Hey Colin I hope to be out wih you again subject to regs etc and I already wrote off one GTi once with my black IROC in a startline incident so please dont do anything silly on the grid like pull across me or stall because one slight bash up the back and those things need a re-shell!

Nowt's firm yet, and a lot depends on regs and who's where and when. I'd like to do both as I know the DTRC guys, but I was around the CTCRC last year and that was good too - plus the car is "period" and should be competitive. Best compromise is do bits of both, and cost-wise that means dropping the more expensive DTRC rounds, and the "fly-away" pre-93 rounds.

I'm glad Combe will be cheaper, that was a good weekend this year. Will definitely go for the hotel Carrera used rather than slumming it under canvas.

I'm hoping to do a few CSCC TinTops rounds with a Honda CRX. Other than that I'll be in the MGOC again, and possibly a 2CV, depending on the usual moolah situation.

If my MGB sells I'l be taking a Mid 1990's RX7 out to play in the DDMC NSSCC (daft name), otherwise I'll have a crack at two MGCC Championships in the B.

Blimey what a question.

What do I hope to be running in, or what is most likely....

Hope to run in the SCSA (with maybe a new name next year).

Also if we can convince Mr Tucker to give it house room again - V8
Supercars with Harry the Bellamonte....

If there are any gaps, or things go pear shaped, Class A DTRC.

And possibly some of the shorter Britcar races - if the new fixed and proper rules don't exclude it.

All subject to the amount of filthy lucre I can raise between now and then....

Rob.
