Was wondering whether WAU had secured the Bottle O sponsorship for one of their sleds... they had apparently been a major target for that group for some time...

I read it as #5 Frosty with white/black MEGA and #56 Stanaway orange ICE BREAK.

#12 has been on a Penske race car of some sort every year since 1998, and as far back as 1980

Running #12 and #17 is the perfect symmetry for the merging of both teams.

When in time the "DJR" part of the team is no doubt bought out, i'd look for the team to drop the #17 and try and acquire the #2 or #22 to bring the Supercars in line with their numbering order of the NASCAR Cup and IndyCar teams.

Totally agree, perfect set of numbers for the team right now.

Unless they sell out to some other Australian, foreign ownership laws prevent Penske from owning the team outright. But then we don't what deal was put together in the first place and how the rest of the Penske group is set up in the country. Would be interesting to find out.....

Care to clarify what you mean there?

Not sure Tom or Ryan Walkinshaw were ever Australian!

The original T888 didn't have too many Aussies involved either.
