I'm not so sure that I like this kerb-hop and destroy your car thing that they are trying on this year with these tyre bundles.
If you destroy the car on Sunday you effectively have less than 2 days to fix it before it has to be on the boat to NZ But in the interests of those here who like it interesting, I hope you enjoy Of course if no-one does successfully destroy their car *fingers crossed this is the case* then the racing will be pretty boring |

This morning both GT Performance and V8 Brutes from Surfers have been reissued with 1 car in GT Performance and 9 in V8 Brutes being penalised 30 seconds.
No official word through yet as to what for - but looks like kerbs are still high in the minds of officials. |

Have they put the witches hat's up this year?
Last year the Champ cars would come out and just cut them all off at front wing height. This led to delays while the marshalls would have to come out and replace them! |

Not sure - at the time of the races yesterday, Champ Cars had not even been on to the circuit.

John Bowe was 6th fastest in this morning practise and the second Ford so the curbs have not stopped his performance. His team mate is only 22nd fastest.

I don't care what rules are applied, as long as they're applied consistently.
That's the whole issue. Treat everyone the same and I have no dramas. Let's hope that if any penalties are issued, the officials act a little faster than they did with Skaife's ddor at Bathurst. After all, the races are only an hour long this weekend..... |

There is another side issue to this - yes, certainly be consistent applying the penalties.
But also be consistent across ALL meetings - IOW, apply them the same regardless of whether you are racing at Sandown, Barbagallo, Hidden Valley, Pukekohe or the GOld Coast. This is where the penalties are currently inconsistent... |
