Race 1: Daytona http://jayski.com/cts/next/2011/entr...tona-entry.htm Some new, good teams are about to get screwed out of the first 4-5 races because of S&P teams last year, who finished top 25 in points because the teams in front of them shut down early in the season last year, or scaled back.

Green flag on the Truck's 2011 season in mere minutes.
9 times out of 10, they have put on a better show at Daytona than the NW and Cup series combined. LINE UP Austin Dillon and the number 3 on the pole....hmmmmm. 10 years. The GOAT rolls off 4th. Going to be a good show. |

I've noticed that the series has alot of full time, non start and park rides, so it sucks that the ones who have been DNQing have been dropping like flies. For example, Brent Raymer has suspended ops because of lack of funding, and the #27 didn't even try to attempt Darlington.

RWR ends relationship with Jeffrey Earnhardt: Rick Ware Racing recently became aware how small of a sandbox the NASCAR community is. Over the past few weeks the out pouring condolences from fans/drivers and team owners resulting from the death of two crew members of RWR (Dean Shaut and Stephen "Dirt" Masch) has been uplifting but the same network of owners also delivered disturbing news to the organization within the same week. "We have been informed by several team owners that our driver (Jeffrey Earnhardt) and his management company (Jeffrey Earnhardt Inc) has been shopping around for another team, eluding that sponsorship was coming with them," stated owner Rick Ware. This aggressive move by Jeffrey Earnhardt Inc. has resulted in a breach of contract between RWR and JEI. Rick Ware Racing will now put the focus on finding a driver for the #1 Fuel Doctor Chevy at Martinsville and the rest of the season. "We have proven that our equipment can get to the front. We have had several top 10 qualifying and finishes in the past eight months and we won't let this stop us!"(Rick Ware Racing PR)(3-29-2011) |

What team is he even going to go to, because many of those teams that don't have a full time driver likely have worse equipment that RWR. He;s throwing away a top 10 position in points for some bizarre reason. Likely thinks that he can somehow get with KHI, Germain, or some other top truck team.
It's a very low move to pull on a team that already went through so much in recent weeks. However, he's still listed to drive the #1 on the entry list this weekend, so maybe some false reporting? http://jayski.com/cts/next/2011/entr...ille-entry.htm |
