Bruns to Peugeot
This just in from BBC News Online,
Richard Burns will team up with Marcus Gronholm at Peugeot in the 2002 World Rally Championship. The 30-year-old Briton leaves Subaru to complete a formidable driver line-up for the French manufacturers over the next two years. Gilles Panizzi and Harri Rovanpera will share Peugeot's third works entry, and all four drivers have won World Championship rallies this year. The announcement brings to an end Burns' three-year spell with Subaru after months of speculation about his future. Tommi Makinen, four-time world champion and joint leader of this season's championship, will replace Burns at Subaru. The Finn joined on a two-year contract from Mitsubishi on Monday. Burns is fourth in this season's standings and has finished second in the championship for the past two years. He narrowly lost out to his new team-mate Gronholm in the final rally of last season. The picture is now becoming more clear |

It was only a matter of time after yesterday's announcement. It'll be interesting to see how RB does in the 206, plus how he fits in with the team. Not that I anticipate any problems it's just that from the outside I reckon that Corrado Provera runs things differently to David Lapworth, plus there will be no clear No.1 driver at Peugoet.
