Be A Grand Prix Driver
This series is starting tonight on the CTV Travel network, which is a specialty channel in Canada (means you pay extra).
Anyone seen the series in the U.K.? Worth it to watch? Ted |

Personally I thought it was a pile of shhhhh.... especially the way they allowed some karters in, then told them they couldnt win it when they got near the end because they had experience.
I made myself watch it, but I kept nodding off, or going to other channels during the break and forgetting to come back. |

I knew one of the lads in it and thought he had a raw deal! It was only to drive an old F1 car anyhow!
Give it a miss! |

I only saw one episode so I may be being unfair but frankly after seeing one I had no desire to see another. It seemed to me that the primary selection criteria were Corporate image, squeaky clean past, physical fitness etc Driving talent was well down the list,
An example is that the initial selection process was a fitness test well it strikes me that you can make a great driver fit you can't make a fit person into a great driver. If these program makers had anything to do with it Ayrton Senna would never have got out of Karts |

That struck me as odd as well. Bloody Olympic runner Ewen Thomas got through to the last 20 or so!!
