It's that everyone else is so bad.
Someone mentioned in another thread that really, the problem this season is that all the challenging teams are so weak compared to years gone by. Only two teams seem to be on the up this season - Ferrari and Arrows. DOWNERS: McLaren - driver motivation down, reliability. Jordan - unreliable. Jaguar - completely messed up. BAR - still lacking something. Sauber - with a Ferrari engine they should be doing far better. Prost - need I say more? UPPERS: Ferrari - have finally got it right. Arrows - the Supertec has worked wonders. IN-BETWEEN: Benetton - improving slowly. Minardi - ditto, but hampered by Mazzacane and reliability. Williams - inconsistent. |

This was decided in a meeting one week before the first race !
Agreements were made by Ferrari / McLaren... Ferrari would overcome...and Ron Dennis would complain about it... The other upper team was sorted in a Lottery... Arrows won ! The in the middle teams got the promised to line-up next year... Bernie, knows what the main stream needs !

Hints for the next race:
Ferrari 1 wins again ! DC does second (not so bad !) Arrows are impressive... Mika does third ! RB engine failure... JV does a great race but... BAR fails again... Schumi junior makes the 4th... BMW uphill... Diniz and Macazzane gone for a ride in the grass... Bad luck Zonta crashes in the start... EI got a tyre puncture (??????) oh... Macazzane fault... JH upset with the low performance... Ron Dennis speaks about the backmarkers on McLaren's drivers... and the conditions of the Pit Lane ! |

Also...
Gene puts in a storming performance, including a blistering first lap... Retiring with a throttle problem about 10 laps from the end and just outside the top 6. Both Jordans fail to finish. Jaguar are ****. Alesi blows up. Heidfeld is last. Mazzacane manages to recover from his excursion. Diniz does not. Fisichella somehow appears in the top 3. |

Oh my god!, You guys forgot about Jenson Button, how could you? He gets more mention then the guy who actually won. Let me finish for you...
Button qualifies 19th and is up to 6th then blows up with two laps to go, not Munich's fault this time. Then in post race, the top 3 get disqualified for having the words "formula 1" on their personal websites, BMW and little ralphie take their first win!!! -Isn't life grand! |

No BAR barely even finished a race last year now they are qualifying brilliantly and even scoring points so they have to be up as well same as Benneton compared to last season and thats about it on the up.

BAR may be better than last year but with full-on support from Honda they should be beating at least Jordan, who are only customers.
They may occasionally sparkle in qualifying, as they did last year, but they always lack something. |

Jorden and BAR get the same engine and the diffrence is the Jorden have had the honda engines longer than BAR giving them more time to Adjust.
