Wheelbase
Does any one know what dictates the wheelbase of a race car.
I know that there are advantages from both side, that is long and short, but i do not know what they are. thanks |

A 1997 Arrows has a wheelbase of 3000mm.
longer wheelbase makes it more stable short less stable. short wheel bases are used for hillclimb cars, rally cars longer for cicuits. |

i am in the process of designing a car for the formula 750 championship, run by the 750 motor club, the design currently has a wheelbase of 2000mm with a total length of 3000mm with rear airfoil.
do you think it should be longer? |
