Now owned by Urs Müller, and normally raced by Arlette Müller.....

Sorry, but I think the Coupé looks are ‘challenging’.

Thanks for the well documented answers. See that Bob, you give so much pleasure with your pictures that we can play with the background!

Its the first time I find the word "challenging" in this kind of context but think I got the spirit. In french we could say something like "elle n'a pas un physique facile" but in general its more related to women than cars. I guess putting this one and a Zagato DB4 GT could enlighten any foreigner to the word challenging! Am I right here, Mike?

You’ve got it, Gerard! To be fair to the DB3, it does come from an earlier era to the Zagato, and there’s more ‘challenging’ cars I could name....

Thanks Mike and Bob. Because he goes to Goodwood, may be you could convince the Gordini owner to bring his jewel closer to its root. One day or another…
Picture #2 shows something looking like a hearse and let me tell you its not so often you see one of those driven flat out !

If you’re going to post a pic of a D50 then I have to respond with a video compilation of the noise they make! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibqRxFLEuvY

First time I saw and heard one at the Revival many years ago I couldn’t believe the sound- you could hear it way before you could see it.....

Great stuff Mike, lovely sound and lovely looks, I still have memories of Fangio spinning at Becketts in 1956 while trying to catch Hawthorn's BRM. The noise as he whipped up through the gears as he recovered was mind blowing.

Neve were the words "They don't make 'em like that anymore" so true.

Well no, not for a few years anyway.

Presumably they could make some more if they wanted

Did you see how many red lights the first one went through on the way out?

What sort of safety message does that send .... etc., etc.?

Well, Gerard, there are some impressionable youngsters watching such videos (not many I'll admit, but a few) and you know how things are in the modern world. ....

Still, I suppose that did send some outriders to enforce at least some degree of control over the situation. I'm not sure whether that is a good or a bad thing. It makes it look like the "authorities" condone such dangerous behaviour ... and the "carbon".

Disgraceful!

I remember that. He was lucky..... So that’s a Lancia-FERRARI D50 then, and I now know what they look like from the underneath!
