Looks like Stuck and crew up to fifth per live webfeed a moment ago. Fantastic mix of cars!
I haven't looked at all the info on the ADAC website yet, what sort of preperation levels are used with these cars? Are they running on racing or street tires? |

How many Hermann Tilke's are there? In position 19 there is car #74 BMW M3 GTR OBERMANN Willi, STETTER Manfred, TILKE Hermann and HULVERSCHEID Paul. But in position 183 there is #9 V8 STAR Jaguar with driver line up including "TILKE Hermann".
Can a driver nominate/drive for more than one car? Is either of these guys that well known F1 track designer? If so which one? |

the guy is the track designer and you can start in more than one car, it's only one person

Holy ****! He knows this circuit exists, actually races on it, and still designs the utter garbage he's known for?!
Maybe he's not an idiot... Maybe he's just completely bat f***ing insane?! |

So you can start in one car, and then transfer to the other - I guess there must be a limit to the total number of laps or something? Given the V8 STAR Jag only did 39 laps, hopefully he's been allowed to transfer to the BMW which is currently running in about P20.
Yes Lee, he races on the Nordschliefe and last year at the Bathurst 24hrs, yet he designs tracks that are pure...... well I'm sure you can think of more descriptive words than I can Which probably lends weight to the theory that he could design much better tracks if he was allowed to, but he ends up designing the type that Formula One management ask him to - anyway, getting a bit off topic for the Sports and GT Forum. Sorry I forgot about the 1983 temporary arrangement, how did they manage for pits? Must look that one up.Either way they are unikely to use that version again so talk of records is irrelevant.

the viper has been put 5 laps behind because they had an irregular tank size, their chrysler viper should have had 90 liters, but they renamed the car to dodge viper and used a 120 liter tank

It's now an Opel/Audi battle in the same lap (a gap of less than one minute !), with Manuel Reuter in the Opel and Wendlinger/Abt/Werner in the Audi...
Luhr/Collard/Bernhard are fifth, Müller/Müller/Hürtgen/Duez are sixth overall... It makes : Opel, Audi, Viper, Porsche, Porsche, BMW... a very german classification, except for the last year winner... Biela is 72th, Stck 148th... Last edited by Fab; 1 Jun 2003 at 07:31. |

The Viper is not far from the lead, but it seems a good race for Opel...

Huh, no, the Dodge stayed too long in the box : Opel, Audi (5 laps behind = 50 minutes !), Porsche, Porsche, the Viper is now fifth ; Reuter, Wendlinger, Luhr, and other great pilots behind, yes, the Nurbugring is alive and kicking !
A little bit more GTs and we could have, with Spa, another of the major rendez-vous ! Last edited by Fab; 1 Jun 2003 at 11:38. |

really a great race
but its a shame what the officials are doing with the dodge / chrysler viper with that 5 lap penalty every hope for a possible victory is gone |

Am I seeing correctly?
210 cars!! I can't believe it! What types of cars are allowed in (classes, etc.)? Also, how long is the pit that houses all of these cars? I saw Boris and Hans at Lime Rock last week. Are they racing with the same PTG BMW team, along with Bill Auberlen? Wish I could've seen it!
