Peter Brock in trouble???

Looks like Peter Brock is in hot water again. On channel 9 program A Current Affair, a fella wants Peter Brock to buy back a modifyed GMC truck that Brock sold him to. Does anyone have a transcript of it?

Did anyone pick up that the guy has already replaced the engine in the truck and now the rings have gone again but he is blaming Brock for this latest 'problem'?

Yes, maybe, but did he replace the polariser?

did anyone else hear an ancient rumour that when a certain Healey 3000 driver with the same surname as a Bathurst 500 winner purchased an Austin with a holden

He apparantly did replace the polariser, with the one Mick Webb was selling on E-bay a few months ago.

The reason the rings were shot, was he forgot about the alignment of the sticker on the rear window, and the thermos of herbal tea in the glovebox wasn't at the correct concentration or tempreture!!!

Not enough positive Chi energy, or Too much negative publicity,

I can't quite remember which of those two reasons was the cause of the polariser not working.........

Hey Cranker,

from my memory when reading the book (must get that back off whoever I lent it to) the polarizer channelled "Orgone" energy, perhaps that is now what is happening to Pee Brocks credibility that to is almost all gone

Interesting item on the 3AW Rumour File in Melbourne this morning that affects the HQ 4 Hour.

A listener rang in and claimed there was a bet going between many drivers with a prize pool to go to the first driver to punt a certain former high profile driver off the track during this weekends HQ 4 Hour at Winton.

Word of this has worked it's way up the Hume Freeway already so it could be interesting this weekend if someone does punt him off

What time did you call the track office ??

P.S. it is an AASA meeting, so there won't be any fines issued by the Stewards of the Event, just a slap on the wrist.

Brockie better watch his back, the last 'High Profile/Celebrity' racer that mixed it with the HQ's was
Sammy Newman, and didn't he get given what for, off the start line.

Driving an EL falcon if my memory serves me correctly.......

Fenced would be an apt description of the goings on that day, wayyyyy back when !

To answer the Uncle's questions and comments;

No I actually sent an e-mail to most of the workers up there so they could enjoy watching it happen seeing I'm not going to be there (working at the Avalon WSS round instead).

Yep, Sammy was fenced very nicely right in front of Race Control and, Murf style, abandoned the car only to have a firie drive it back to the paddock area after the race was finished

Talking with someone else about this incident (Sammy Newman) I understand that there may still be video footage of him (cough) sliding in front of race control!

That would be good to see.

Let's just say the HQ guys showed some of their finest Thunderdome skills that day.

Some of them should almost consider buying a Jim's Fencing franchise......

Back almost onto topic......

Good luck to the Brock Bro's this weekend, but lets hope Peter has a good supply of Mobil fuel for the Racecar.

The last thing they would want is JUST sugar in their tank, maa maa maa mate.......

BTW, Is the Gaffierio, family racecar entered this weekend??????????

Actually the startline timing camera would've caught it beautifully if they had it running that day.........

I had a great view from my seat in Race Control at the time.

Believe that is the one - we were talking the other day about the video tape of the Longhurst/Morris incident (amongst many others he has collected over the years).

And don't forget that Peter Brock will be teaming up with his brother Phil this weekend at the HQ 4 Hour at Winton.

It should actually be called the "Twin Two Hours".

The first part is held on Saturday arvo and runs for 2 hours and the second part on Sunday arvo and guess what that runs for two hours.

It's interesting watching HQ's run around for 2 hours. Last year one of the cars threw a leg out during the Saturday race approaching Turn 4 and took 13 other HQ's with him into the gravel trap, Oil & HQ's don't mix well

Has anyone heard if that former 'Factory Supported' "Australian Champion" is racing a near Q this weekend ??

Cranker Enterprises wish to offer explaination for the following:
A 'near Q' is completely different to a 'far Q', but both are quite similar to a crappy old, slow, HQ.
Thanks for your patience.
