There is no negative to having them, I agree.
GP got rid of them and I miss it. There were a couple of years after they started showing everything and before they were ditched warm up when it helped the build up and put you in the mood. Early Sunday seeing, say, Monza as you pottered around was just what the soul needed. Times and what happen was irrelevant. Similar, but a little better, waking up at Le Mans and casually seeing morning warm up as you come round, perfect. |

Means you get to see them twice in one day. With F1 though you can't do it anymore with cars in parc ferme after quali

"Last chance to wreck your car before the race starts!" is what we always say and every now and then someone does.
Most of the purpose they once had is gone nowadays but without one it's almost a reversed 'cold turkey' procedure - it's a slow start to a hectic day, good to go thru all the systems and such before the fireworks start. |

Just a thought while watching the Fuji replay, the coverage of the GTE category by the WEC feed has been excellent this year. Very impressed and happy with that. Never thought this would happen but it has surpassed IMSA TV's coverage of GTLM.

Eot is adjusted further for the non-hybrids https://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/...r-6h-shanghai/ for Shanghai. This is a boost for them to help prevent lift and coast. We'll have to wait and see if they did enough. This coupled with the tire test is a good direction for the class imo.

BoP on Corvette was rough. Will be a victory for them at this point to beat the GTE Am cars.

Seems a single car Corvette entry for Sebring is on the cards...

Big time penalties for the Dempsey-Proton Porsche. They lose ALL points scored so far this year because of alleged data tampering dealing with the fuel flow.

https://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/...r-12h-sebring/ Keep in mind the field will be limited to 36, that's the number of grid 'stalls' the new temp pitlane is designed for (although with that pitlane basically being nothing more then re-alligned concrete blocks it would be very easy to accommodate extra entries if they were to pony up the entry fee. Alas, it's FIA so no room for pragmatics. |

I think you're mistaken, that's a WEC team considering an IMSA entry.

Then I would like to know how many guest entries are waiting in the wings only to be denied because the pitlane can't accomodate them.
The grid limit itself is to keep freight costs down. To save money WEC only uses transport by sea now, which is one of the reasons there are big gaps between races. |

Also Motorsport.com is reporting that Michelin is working on bespoke tyres for the non-hybrid LMP1 cars. Everyone is going to get another test session because the one in Shanghai got rained out.
Well, everyone except Dragonspeed who seem to not understand what kind of championship they're racing in. |

Pretty sure any interest there might have been from local teams, is killed off by now... |

Seems to me you're just inventing a problem and then griping about it.
