Someone did ask if I had some Mini Se7en pictures. Here's a sequence from Oulton Park hairpin in 1982. The first picture was the previous lap, but it shows Ralph Budd tripping over himself (and the kerbs) trying to get past the silver & red car in front. I can't take any credit (or blame Baub) for the pictures, they were taken by a mate of mine as it was me driving the silver & red Mini...

The Mini Seven Racing Club is still very much in existence. These days the Mini Sevens are powered by 1000 cc engines with a class for standard 1275 engined cars and have been joined by Mini Miglias (although in separate races normally) which are powered by 1300 cc engines and are more highly modified with a class for 1380 engined cars. I last saw them in 2018 at Thruxton but they were on the television supporting the BTCC once again at Thruxton in 2019 and on both occasions provided a brilliant spectacle. They are the longest surviving one make series in Europe apparently.

Posting pictures. A couple of times since starting this thread I have had requests for advice on posting pictures, so here is how it is done.
When you CLICK REPLY, and the message box opens, first type a few words of introduction, as you will have noticed all of our picture displays start this way, as you cannot post pictures on their own. Once you have written something, look on the TOOL BAR at the top of the box for a PAPER CLIP symbol. Click on this and a further box will open on your left, showing six slots with a BROWSE note beside each one. Click on BROWSE, and find the image you wish to display on your computer, and 'OPEN'. This will load a string of text into the first box. Repeat for as many of the slots as you require, and then click UPLOAD. You should see at the bottom of the box a message. PLEASE WAIT WHILE YOUR FILES UPLOAD. When this disappears, return to your message box and click on PREVIEW POST, to check that your pictures have uploaded. When happy with that click SUBMIT REPLY, and your post should appear in the usual way on the forum. A tip; After writing your introduction, tab down a space before clicking the Paper Clip.
