Rally Headgear in Kenya
While watching Leg 2 of the Rally Kenya last night for the 10,000th time, it came to my attention that, when not wearing helmets, the Rally drivers were wearing fold up golf hats (or "Tilly hats" as they are called in Canada) instead of the traditional baseball caps.
It also came to my attention that this headgear makes Nicky Grist look like a mushroom. Is this a new trend in headgear or was this (I hope) merely something that was brought on for Kenya? |

The crews have worn these before, especially Subaru on the hotter events. They're nothing to speak of in the fashion stakes but i presume that they're cooler than BBcaps & give better all round sun protection

Obviously. I don't think they look all that good either.

Surely they could find something that looks less like a cross between a candle snuffer and a lamp shade!

Yes, maybe they'd be better with something more Aussie bush hat style (or Stetsons for Ford)

Yes, that would be great, an Aussie cap with the brim curled up. Lets drop them a hint!
