Mallory May 6th Test Day

The sun was shining when I arrived for breakfast and blimey the paddock appeared to have more cars in it than for the recent BRSCC meeting!
11 Caterhams lead the numbers, followed by half a dozen 2CV's.Les was in charge in little Waynes holiday absence and very sensibly put the Caterhams out with the single seaters as there were less than a dozen of them. That equalled out the sessions.
The tin tops were led out by a gorgous Shelby Cobra, a modern 911 GT3, pairs of Fiesta's,Kit Cars & MX5's, Gregor Fiskin in an E Type Jag, a Mustang, a 205, a Mallock Clubman and the slowest car of all a Formula 750,a Mustang, a modern Beetle, a Ginetta Junior, an Imprezza, a modern Beemer, an A40, a MGBGT V8, a GT6, Honda Accord, Ferrari 308 GTB and mark 2 Escort.
The usual selection of F.Fords were headed by circuit regular Wil Arif and joined by the orange ex Derek Bell Brabham, an orange lotus of unknown type, a Brabham BT8 Climax,a Radical and a Monoposto series F3.

The only incident of note was when the Radical pulled off on the outside of the track at the Devils Elbow, then cut across trying to get back in the Paddock, collecting a Caterham on the way, if it had been a Race Meeting it would have cost him 4 points on his licence, today it just cost him egg on his face.
