2 Bridge circuits
Since it's gone fairly quiet I'll sneak these two in.
The first I have to say I wasn't going to put on the forums as I'm not happy with it. Even allowing for it having 2 bridges I feel it is a bit uninspired...it lacks that certain something that makes it stand out. Even the attempt to indicate elevation with the subtle changes in the background colour didn't really work as I hoped. The second I'm much happier with although again there is something just nagging me that it's not quite right. A fast circuit and again featuring 2 bridges, the first a huge structure that would need a support build between the aproach and exit of the hairpin but there is sufficient space for this. Also the paddock access roads also pass under the bridges. Perhaps in the second, the hairpin should have been left out, and arc T2 to T4 eliminating the need for the first Bridge? As always and perhaps more so for these two, comments, criticisms and edits are welcome. |

Wow.
These two seem just a bit too twisty for me. I don't really feel the cars could really speed up on the first one save two sections, the top straight with the previous sweeper and the section that has the right bridge. The second one seems better in that respect though I'd leave a copule of turns out - e. g. the whole section under the vertical bridge. bio |

The 2nd one looks very modern, but at the same time, too long for modern track design trends, with its abundance of straights. That long corner on the lower right side of the design is a classic. I would have the hairpin stay in place. However, what I don't like about this track is the paddock section. My edit would have the track cut out your paddock section at just behind the final underpass, and shortcut from there towards the straight that approaches the hairpin. Next, I'd move the pits to the straight that leads toward the right side of the design after the Esses that come after the hairpin.
I hope the explanation of my idea is understandable. I'm sorry I can't draw an edit now because of lack of time. To save the 1st design from being shelved, I'd keep the section from just about after the 1st bridge up to Turn 4, but using the wonderfully shaped pitlane entrance corner shape instead of the original final corner. My suggestion is fitting a new other half of the lap to that, be it with or without a bridge. I hope you like my ideas. Bye. |
