Wonder how many of those we'll see around - and what kind of support Peugeot will provide for their teams. We could some more works-blessed squads a la WRT.
I imagine Sebastien Loeb Racing will enter a couple of these full-time somewhere.

According to this (en francaise) the 308 will be eligible for TCR series from next year, but will only get the full TCR performance kit from 2018.

I'd think that that explains the comparatively low price, but it also suggests that we won't be seeing many of the Peugeots next year after all.

Files will run in Macau with a Target Honda. Well deserved.

Nice read. How FIA and WTCC expelled TCR from Macau. You can use Google Translate but it's not 100% accurate
Interesting to see that Alan Gow tried to stop TCR from running in 2015 and get BTCC to run it but teams didn't have money to travel to Macau

Thanks for the fascinating read! TCR and WTCC won´t coexist for many years, but I think it´s clear what set of rules will survive in the end.

TCR should think of a cooler way to end their season then the Middle East though. Like a 3 race weekend on Mount Bathurst, Surfers Paradise or maybe Barcelona back in Europe. I miss the race in Monza, too.

Bathurst would be cool.
There are plans for an Australian series.

Big LOL this race. Only two half laps of green flag racing and a confusing finish. The checkered flag was supposed to come out as the safety car came in for the last time, but green flags were being waved instead and the top 6-7 started racing.

Also, Nash crashed out, Comini in command of the championship now.

A ridiculous title decider. Thanks to FIA and to CTCC drivers. Surely next year we'll not have so much accidents, with the amazing 12-cars WTCC field

I don't like Comini so much, but congratulations for the second title. Nash has been inadequate this weekend: you can't run Macau in this way if you are fighting for a title.

Hoping for more and more cars next year.

Race control can be blamed for how much of a farce that was. Two 10 minute red flags for no reason.

To be honest, WTCC races of old at Macau were often equally as pointless after a bad crash, you would be lucky to get 6 racing laps in.

Not sure what the solution is other than improving driving standards, having more cranes and just simply having longer races in the first place.

Potrero would be awesome.
What about final in USA? On some old school track like Watkins Glen or Laguna Seca?

San Luis province government has no cash for sports. They even dropped the week-long road cycling race that used to attract major European riders.

Anyway, Argentines aren't interested in TCR or WTCC unless they have Pechito, Canapino and/or Rossi do the race.

A great compendium article as to why the Macau round was a shambles. Many factors - http://www.touringcartimes.com/2016/...ened-in-macau/

He had all of what, 4 racing laps the whole weekend ?...... Not sure how you can come to that conclusion.

Last year Comini had 20 kg and a bad injury, and he won, and also Oriola with 30 kg was very fast. So no excuses, IMHO Nash was too much cautious this weekend.

A little more talk about the race from Marcello Lotti.

My guess is that TCR will not return to Macau.

Touring Car World Cup? They need to find a way of getting rid of the crash causing locals first.

Oriola did not have 30kg of ballast and Nash out qualified him.
