Fantastic machines, I could look at them all day - behind the Mcrae is that a reynard or swift formula atlantic liveried up the same as an Arrows from the Morbidelli era??

Great pictures.

I didn't know John Mann had a T332. I don't suppose you noted the chassis number, did you?

you reckon? what would that be doing there? More likely to be a Formula Atlantic of some sort given the fact they ran FA in NZ, OK?

It's nothing as sophisticated as that.

It's a locally built space-frame car called called the RFXV8. It was supposed to be the prototype for a cheaper version of F5000 but it never got off the ground and as far as I know only the one car was built.

Interesting, when was that and why did they livery it like an Arrows do you know?

Hi Allen
Didn't see chassis plate, but in the program the car was rebuilt using a spare car and has been raced exclusivly in the USA and only just come to New Zealand.

F5000 was very cool, now what was its place in racing?
between inday and F1 or was it a formula libre of sorts with the 5litre restriction, these were all so very excelent.
