Has anyone ever done the triple in Nascar?
Has anyone in Nascar has ever driven in the Truck, Busch and Cup on the same weekend at the same track and won all three races?

There have been plenty of doubles with Busch and Cup, but I don't think that anyone has ever done a triple. Also I don't think that anyone has won in the trucks and them won in either the Busch or Cup series on the same weekend when they are at the same track.

Rowdy may, this weekend. He's also driving at a local track this evening, so he could win 4 races in a weekend.
In the NASCAR lingo, He's the real deal! |

Kyle Busch I guess. He's took time out of sulking to win the Truck and Busch races thus far this weekend, his final Busch race for Hendrick too I believe.
He will have to overcome two very strong teammates to win the Cup race, let alone many other guys. |

I watched the Busch race last night and he pretty much dominated it
HMS had Landon Cassill in the #24 car and he spun off, not really impressing Rick It would be great to see Kyle win the Cup race tonight Interesting why HMS sacks him but retains Casey Mears. Ah well, their loss is Joe Gibbs gain, can't wait for 2008 for Smoke and the boys |

Is Kyle not out of contract though, whereas Mears is surely only in the first year of a multi-year deal?
Busch gave the impression he wanted out anyways. He has seemed unhappy this year, storming away from Texas for example even though his car was fixable. Dale Jr ended up driving his car for him! It seemed inevitable from then that there would be a split. A fresh start for Kyle next year at Gibbs could be the making of him. |

Watched the Busch Race last night (thakyou NASCAR.com!!) He dominated the race, Kenseth did well to stay with him with power steering problems. If He's starting from 38th, then it seems he wont be able to do it.

A 38th place start is almost irrelevant in NASCAR. You can win from anywhere if all goes to plan.

Well, a driver can win from anywhere if the package is good enough.
The guys who start at the back because they are slow don't stand a chance. |

I remember the weekend when inexplicably, Smokin' Joe Nemechek pulled the double at (Kansas? Kentucky?) some weird race track. Anyway, he smoked 'em in both races.
What a guy. |

Didn't Carl Edwards do this a few years back at Atlanta?

Well, Kyle came close. Dam this guy is consistently quick and pretty smart too at only 22. I reckon he could be the most sought after young driver in NASCAR.
