News of a livery change for someone this weekend... presumably it's Hamilton's car but it was posted on FB by an Exceler8 employee so who knows

So you can't print at home or collect from the circuit? The only option at checkout is to post? How are they going to post them with 1 day left before the event?!

They've already confirmed the title sponsor, and are also working with Draper outside of the BTCC a lot this month. |

At such short notice printed evidence of the purchase or an electronic copy of the ticket on your phone I would guess.
I went to several Cricket World Cup matches this summer and was admitted on the scan of a barcode I'd printed out. |

I think Dave Newsham or Michael Caine could replace Nic Hamilton for the rest of the season.

I called Silverstone in the end after having numerous issues with their website, only to be told that they have stopped taking advance ticket orders and that the only option was £40 on the door. I think £40 is a lot for "basic BTCC entry", so I won't be going now.

Isn't it normal for the circuits to close advanced online booking a few days beforehand, and then revert to the normal gate price?

That's entirely logical, however the last few MSV events I have attended I have booked last minute and have done a print at home ticket, however Silverstone don't do print at home tickets. Also my personal opinion is that a £10 bump in price from advance to on the door price is a bit steep, traditionally its been a fiver, but they gotta pay those F1 hosting fee bills somehow!

Need top class racing this weekend, so I hope it’s worth all the packing tonight for me

Michael Caine confirmed at Motorbase. Unsurprisingly underwhelming!

It’s good to have him back, even if he won’t blow the bloody doors off the opposition!

Forty quid is a fair old lump of money, I'd say OTT but I do have Scotsman and Yorkshireman in me!

Pretty much Michael Caine 😂
But then this time a couple years ago we got Rob Huff as a replacement; I know it's different circumstances (short notice, big sponsor needed) but it seems like a good oppurunity for someone from a different category like TCR/GT to have a go for a couple rounds. No disrespect to Michael though, I'm sure he'll do a good job! Last edited by Evantra; 27 Sep 2019 at 15:22. |
