Albers to race against a F16
Gilles raced against a jet (and won, I think?) and now Christian Albers is having a go.

In late 2003, Michael Schumacher raced against an Eurofighter too.
They were tied 1-1 on results. |

Here's a novel idea. Maybe they could consider racing against some F1 cars next.

How about Honda pitting their hardware against a turd?
It could be a close call. |

You are not a hip motorsports personality if you haven't pointlessly raced a plane.
All good fun though! |

Blimey - just checked the article in the first pots and it says "... the Spyker F1 vs. F16 fight will be held behind closed doors".
That's gotta be a really, really big room somewhere in South Netherlands - perhaps its one of those huge indoor tulip warehouses. |

Perhaps they should concentrate on making their car faster rather than PR stunts?

If a trio of Honda powered car, boat and plane ran against each other the result would be: the car sunk, the boat lift off the water and the plane crashed into the track. All of them in the wrong element.
Sorry for Honda, but I can not avoid this kind of thoughts since I saw its Earth-"povered" car I don't know why we have gone into this Honda subvariant This kind of car vs fighter, boat, submarine... is obviously a PR act. It is fun , but it is not significant at all because the different vehicles are in a very different position. It is like Touring Car racing handicaps, but hugely scaled |

According to the Official F1 Website, this will be one of Albers' "toughest challenge in his Formula 1 career"...
So he's given up on his dream of finishing in the Top 10...? |

This is not only a PR exercise, it's a way for a commanding officer to reward his personnel.
"Gentlemen, you've been my top performing squadron for the last three years running. As a reward, I've chosen you to participate in the upcoming Michael Schumacher test." Or, in this case, "Airman, you've screwed up for the last time. I'm cancelling your leave. Furthermore, you're the one who will have to shepherd Christian Albers around the base during his upcoming test. And if you haven't learned your lesson from that, I'll arrange some face time for you with Michael Waltrip." |

Perhaps they are using Albers in order to test the new weaponry without significant casualties.

I heard they were thinking of add an ejector seat to the spyker like the F16 has.
Why? I don't know cos I can't imaging the spyker getting over 30 mph |

F16 has been disqualified because it has been found it has movable aero devices (to not speak about wing size).
