I notice that some of the manufacturers have seen sense
BMW and Toyota agreed to deepen a partnership agreed last year, co-operating on hydrogen fuel cells, vehicle electrification, lightweight materials and a future sports car. The German and Japanese carmakers made the announcement on Friday in Munich after signing an agreement on what they described as a “long-term, strategic collaboration”

A nice "warm" day, I think I might just pop up to that racing circuit up the road to me in the UK ! If it was the Almeria one in Spain it would be about 50c !
Perhaps I'll take a jumper then just to be Shure

Indeed, John Kettley was on TV this morning explaining the the current weather is not that bad really and that 1976 drought was far worse than now. Especially as we had less population then. But hey ho, apparently this heat will be killing of millions of brits.

76 temps were a tad lower but went on a lot longer.
I wonder if all these drying up lakes around the world have revealed any lost racing cars?!

I wonder whether some more cars might appear at Brocket Hall; I don't think that all the missing vehicles were found?

Several cars/bodies/guns have been found in Lake Mead (behind the Hoover dam) as it slowly gets lower and lower over the years.
I water skied on it back in the 80s when it was huge, but now it's like a duck pond in comparison.

I tried water skiing once.I went one evening with a load of girls. I was rubbish and could not get up on the skies. I was so determined to try I ended up skiing under the water. It was so funny and I had a great evening. Never got invited back. Still happy days.I really want to have a go at kite surfing but now not far off 70 guess I have left it a bit late.

Seing what you can do on a bike, delta, no worry about kite surfing. It is said less demanding than wind surfing and at least you can fly…

Peter may be you could find a slopy lake in Scotland?

Iain they do kite surfing out the front of our place in Mojacar, in fact Osaïa Reding the Spanish Champion/ World Runner-up Kiteboarder lives down here and she gives tuition.
This happens most days on our local beach https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vf_Egce-tG0&t
If you blink at 3.24/3.25 you will miss my other half taking a picture of one of them

OK, what am I bid?

Picked up the very last jar of Brand Name Dijon Mustard on the shelf at Tesco a couple of days ago.

What would it be worth en France?

Ah well, the phone pic likes to present landscape mode. Click to see the full inglorious result.

No John, not this one but it could have been. Looking at the picture I was wondering if its the original recipe or if its adapted to the brit market. All in all its a good brand better than Amora for instance. Just my taste.

Ah, but Colman's is miles better than any of them.

Amora does make the best picalili though, better than any of the British brands & it is even called 'Old English'.

It seems it is a Unilever Brand.

Ingredients: Water, Mustard seeds, spirit vinegar, salt, citric acid, preservative (Potassium Metabisulphite).

The labels are in English and Greek with the Greek and Cypriot Unilever offices being mentioned.

So once again a global brand selling water at a large profit!

Still, at least I don't have to slum it anymore with the Truffle-infused version I have in the larder.

No indication on the labels advising where it is made so presumably, being most heavily Maille branded, it is sourced from the traditional factory.

I notice the Unilever France HQ happens to be in your part of the world, Gerard...

I was shopping in Leclerc's earlier so had a look at all the empty shelves where the mustard used to be & spotted they had just three jars of Maille 'Moutarde a l'Ancienne'. It looked a bit more interesting than the regular Dijon stuff, so I bought a jar to try.
