2014 R13 Ita - Results

Penalties...

Kvyat required a 6th ICE this means he takes a 10 place drop costing him 20 points, Toro Rosso drop 10 points and under the engine Rules Renault are the first to get a 20 points penalty.

Things will get complicated regarding Engine penalties, I'll do my best to explain how a penalty value is reached if more than one Power unit component is changed as the season goes on.

Ericsson who qualified 22nd, but was made to start from pit lane by the stewards for a double yellow flag infringement. As per Monaco, I consider this to be in liu of a 5 place grid drop, and so have applied a 10 point penalty against him and 5 points against Caterham.

Both Magnussen and Gutierrez received in race and post race time penalties. These are reflected in the results.

The only Technical DNF was Alonso with a ERS fault, Ferrari receive the 5 point penalty.

On to the results and Alcoholics Racing Team make it back-to-back victories, their 4th of the season. Their 94 points was seven clear of Rude Nose Racing (87 points) and in third with 86 points Duke Grand Prix Engineering.

In the overall Alcoholics Racing Team (992pts) now extend their lead to 28 points over Tuk Tuk Racing (964pts). Racing for Sealand remain in third with 915 points.

Subs can still be made, remember your first change is free any other will cost 20 points each. To count for the next event your request has to be lodged in time for me to see it and confirm it before FP1.
Remember you team must remain unique and stay within the budget limit.

ouch! Alonso out and penalty for Mags and dropped down to 20th. hopefully we close out the season stronger.

Don't worry I'm pretty sure that everyone else will need atleast a 6th of atleast one thing before the seasons out, it's those that might need a 7th that will be at a disadvantage.

Looks like anyone that picked Mercedes/Mercedes for construction/engine can't be beat.

Damn that driver change only rule, I'm doomed as long as I have the horse **** Force India chassis. Who'd have guessed with drivers like Hulk and Perez that they'd be the worst Mercedes engined team, by far.

The thing is, power unit penalties could hit really hard if more than one Mercedes powered driver requires a 6th of one or more of the parts.

For example someone requiring a new Merc engine and ERS, and another Merc driver needing an ECU. That would put any Merc powered Fantasy team on a starting point of minus 50, worse still if you happen to have the McLaren, Williams, Force India drivers that needs the parts.

There is a while to go yet before the female of larger dimensions starts to warm her vacal chords.
