mig should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
The xtreme Mighty Minis allowed A series engined Minis and Metros and there were various classes could of been really good had it of taken off but as I said egos and reputations destroyed it.Minicross engines are basic I think Tris just got his pants pulled down

Yes but you don't really even see them in DMN or semsec (other than Mary's) there must be hundreds of these style minis about where did they all go, it would be really good to see more of these out as opposed to the now run of the mill full steel bodied minis. This type of car that i would love to build next year but are worried about Where you can ace them other than Semsec

the only problem with that car is parts of the cage are t45 and parts are not and the t45 is in my opinion not welded and fitted correctly. I know this as it was done by the company i USED (mentioning no names) work for and i refused to do the work and had a big fight over it with the owner!!!! the car before Tim Sims had it if i remember correctly (have slept since then) was The car the Tony Higgins used to race abroad.

I last heard that Pete Baldwins one was in a glass case in a Japanese shopping centre.John Flacks,Paul Soames,Mark Sayers all got sold and have not been seen since. We built a 1600cc BDA engined one on a Mini box a few years ago dont know what happened to that. There were 2 Jack Knight ones and a couple of KAD ones as well. There was talk of an historic Special Saloon championship starting up but that never happened

lee what do you think the chance is of contacting any of those people you mention?
It would be good if we could get them to display on our special dmn meet .
We need Bill to put that metro back together as well.

He still has the Metro it will have a 300bhp Ford Duratec fitted.May be worth contacting Dave Usher see if he can put you in touch with Barry Murphy, Mike Edwards or the Sri Lankan (Roth da Silva) they both had space frames a couple of years ago dont know where Roths is stored. We also have a complete spaceframe Mini in parts with a new bodyshell hanging around.

I guess they can also run in the BARC Intermarque races - Mary has used hers there to good effect and some of the super silhouettes are turning up there now too.

Pete Edwards car (not sure if he did ever find anywhere to race it?):

Yes mine is the pink one on the right in front of Lee its conventional steel bodied, the one with the black bonnet is Barry Murphy his car was a new build by KAD, the all red one is Rohith Da Silva from Sri Lanka one of the fastest minis ive ever seen but is unbelieveably unreliable Rohith transports his car in a converted caravan that the back and tilts down and he rolls the car out I think they are both 1460 s. Ithink this is the fastest mini in the world race in 2006 am i right Lee (you had two good races with Mike edgell if I remember right)

Yeah you are right mate.First time at Donnington and loved it.Rohiths car is a wee bit unreliable but his caravan is excellent.I remember you giving the spaceframes a hard time for the first part of the race. You lot still got the green marcos that would go well in BARCs intermarque race.
