Jules Mini should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Yes we still have the marcos its a friend of ours Pete Crudgington s He was using it for hillclimb and sprints we converted it to circuit spec and my brother Ollie drove it in the 2004 fastest mini in the world race at silverstone which he won it was a roasting hot weekend the inside temp of the marcos was 47 degrees luckily for Ollie we had two paddling pools that we got in as soon as we got back to our pitspace, the marcos is not being used at the moment as pete has four children and no time as you can imagine

That's going back a bit Rob - I only remember seeing Trevor race Fiesta's, Escorts and then RS 500 cossies, (which were awesome to watch once they got them sorted). I didn't know he raced Minis before that - I do remember Tony Bardy's Mini giving John Welch a run for his money in his Xtrac at Brands in about 85

The guy who used to build my minicross cars used to own a very nice spaced franed mini simular to James Guests one.
The last I know of it was Endaf Owens brought it and done one round of rallycross with it before deciding it was not for him.
Grant Rees also raced it.
I could proberly find out where it is if your interested Dave?

Be great though wouldn't it, still one of the best sounding engines ever!
The A-series and a whining dog box just can't match the old V64R

Rob. That would be the BMC works Cooper S's of Rhodes and John Fitzpatrick in their dark 'Commercial Green' colours and Cooper bonnet stripes. 8port,Tecalmit Jackson mechanicaly fuel injected Downton built engines mixing it with the better handling Broadspeed Escorts. It was certainly the heyday of intense manufacturer support from motorsprt fans as you were either BMC or Ford. The misguided few supported Rootes and the Hillman Imp which was quick but at 1000cc had little class competition. It was only 40 years ago and , no, it doesn't feel like yesterday. Right, back out to the cold, damp garage to really enjoy myself.

Great lap times for the wet, and very consistent too. As you say Mig, a top driver - Julian, has this wet your appetite to come and play next year?

Looks like the 3 next quickest Minis did not get a run, must have been reserves. That's a shame.

Rob, how was your grin today?

Gerald , nick and ken only go to practise. Nick did a 54 and would have been 2rd, ken 7th gerald had drive shaft brake not sure where he qulified.
Jules and james had the crowd on there feet very close race until last lap when minor contact took place and james spun. James and jules best mates at end.
